a work in progress

I received my BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in textile design, and now work in collage, drawing, and water media.

In my studio, improvisation alternates with focused intention. I often dye, print, and paint free of a specific goal. To pursue a subject, I layer and edit these materials, seeking that almost musical sense when elements work in harmony.  My work probes nature's structures and reflects life as a daughter, girl, and  mother. As in life, momentary balance emerges from ceaseless change.
